The Silence of the Heart
“Silence is the ultimate teaching. It is the only true reality. It is the power that dissolves the ego.”
“Everything is well, and everything is unfolding as it should.”
The Messenger of Peace
Robert Adams (January 21, 1928 – January 13, 1997) was an American Sage and Advaita Vedanta teacher whose gentle presence and deep realization touched the lives of seekers worldwide. In his late teens, following a profound spontaneous spiritual awakening, he traveled to India and spent several years with Sri Ramana Maharshi at his ashram, whom he regarded as his spiritual father. Following Ramana's death he stayed in India and sat with other sages and masters.
Upon returning to the United States, Robert lived in relative obscurity, sharing his realization only with small groups of devotees. His teachings emphasize the practice of Self-Inquiry (Atma-Vichara), the recognition of absolute consciousness, and the supreme power of silence as the most direct means to awaken to one's true nature.
“There is only one Self, and you are That. There is no place where you end and another begins. All is one absolute awareness.”
